INAUGURATION Of ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES

​

On 15h June 2018, the academic activities of the college for the year 2018-19 was inaugurated by Sri Sri Sri Pujaya Swamy Aparajithananda, Acharya of Mangalore centre Cinmaya misson. The Swamiji also spoke about the importance of developing a spiritual attitude in one’s student life

FRESHERS DAY

On 30th June 2018, Fresher’s Day was celebrated for the fresher’s. it is our college tradition that we welcome new students every year. The Chief guest of the programme was Prof. V.S. Dayananda Kumar, principal, Sri Sai Pre-University College for Women. This programme served as a platform for all the students to mingle with each other.

INAUGURATION OF NSS ACTIVITIES

​

On 20th July 2018, the inauguration of NSS activities for the year 2018-19 was conducted in the college auditorium. The Chtef Guest of the programme was Sri R. Narasimaih, Rtd, Deputy Director, Education Department, and Government of Karnataka. He addressed the gathering and all the NSS volunteers were enlightened about their duties and responsibilities in carrying out the various NSS related activities. 

GURU POORNIMA

​

27th July 2018 Guru Poornima was celebrated. On this occasion a special Bhajan was arranged and prasadam was distributed at the end of the programme.

SMT. SAROJA RAMACHADRA MEMORIAL INTERCOLLEGIATE DANCE COMPETITION

​

On 28th July 2018, Smt. Saroja Ramachadra Memorial Intercollegiate Dance Competition was held in our institution. Dr. Srinath,Vice President, Udaya Tv Channel and Famous Kannanda film star was the chief guest of the programme. Smt. Kavyashree Nagraj, Kathak Dancer and Choreographer Kum. Kavitha Krishnamurthy, Classical Dancer and Choreographer were the judges on the occasion..

TALENTS DAY INAUGRATION

​

On 3rd August 2018, the college conducted the talent search programme “Avishkara”. Sri Praveen Tej and the team of the movie ‘Striker’ were the Chief Guest on the occasion.

HEALTH CHECKUP

​

On 10th August 2018, annual Health check-up was organised in the college premises. The students and members of teaching and non-teaching staff benefitted from this.

PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT

ORIENTATION PROGRAMME

​

On 10th & 11th August 2018, Orientation programme on the topic ‘Personality Development’ was conducted by Sri. Sundar Anantharaman of Sai consultants addressed the gathering.

INDEPENDENCE DAY

​

On 15th August 2018, Independence Day was celebrated. Sri. A. Sai Prasad, Director of Studies, Sri Sai Group of Educational Institutions unfurled the National flag and was the Chief Guest on the occasion. After the flag – hoisting ceremony, sweets were distributed to the students. Students accompanied by the Principal and the teaching staff visited Deepa School for the Blind. Later Annadhana and Shramadhana for the inmates were arranged by the students.

FLOOD RELIF FUND

​

On 29th August 2018, funds were voluntarily contributed by the staff and students for the flood that occurred in Kodagu and Kerala, and the amount was given to Karnataka Chief Minister relief fund.

SRI Y. RAMACHANDRA MEMORIAL INTER COLLEGIATE DEBATE AND BHAVAGEETHE COMPETITIONS

​

On 1st September 2018, Sri Y Ramachandra Memorial Inter-Collegiate Debate and Bhavageethe Competition 2018-19 was organized in the college campus. The chief guest of the programme Prof. L. Purushothama, Principal St Philomena first grade college, Bengaluru. Addressed the gathering. Students from different colleges actively participated in the competition.

TEACHERS DAY CELEBRATION

​

On 5th September 2018, Teachers Day Celebration was held in the college premises. Dr, M. Munnirayannapa, Chairman Dean, Dept. of Commerce & Management, Bengaluru University, Bengaluru. He was the chief guest on the occasion. Speech was delivered by the chief guest on the occasion. Later Dr, M. Munnirayannapa was felicitated.

ONE DAY WORKSHOP

​

On 7th September 2018, One Day Workshop was organized for the Degree students in the College Auditorium. Eminent speakers from different professional fields addressed the students

ALUMNI MEET

​

On16th  September  2018, an Alumini Meet was organised in the college Auditorium by the Alumini Association for the year 2018-19  which was attended by many former students. The students shared many valuable suggestions and thoughts for making the Alumni Association more fruitful and efective.

HINDI AND SANSKRIT DAY

​

On 17th September 2018, Hindi and Sanskrit Day was celebrated in the college campus under the guidance of Prof. Usha.T.Tukol, Head of the Hindi Department and Prof. Shrinivas Rao, Head of the Sanskrit Department. The programme was presided by Prof. V S Dayananda Kumar, Principal, and Sri Sai Pre-University College for Women. He delivered a speech on “The Importance of Hindi and Sanskrit Languages” on the occasion.

SRI. S. NIJALINGAPPA ENDOWMENT LECTURE & SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS

​

On 26th September 2018, Sri S Nijalingappa Endowment Lecture and Scholarship Distribution Programme was organized in the college campus. The chief guest Mr Justice Aralli Nagaraju, Former Judge, High Court of Karnataka, Bengaluru delivered a lecture on “Role of Youth in Nation building”. Sri. Mohan Kondaji. Member, Karnataka, Legislative council. Distributed the Sri. S. Nijalingappa Endowment Scholarships to the meritorious students.

INAUGURATION OF THE KANNADA LITERARY CLUB

​

On 29th September 2018, the inauguration of the Kannada Literary Club of the college was held in the college auditorium. Dr. Sheeladevi. S. Mallimath, writer, Research Guide, National Award Winner, Assistant Professor, Kannada Department, B.M.S. College For Women Basavanagudi, Bengaluru. She was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Sri K.N. Nagesh, famous Musician was the special invitee. His team of artists performed cultural progammes on the occasion.

GANDHI JAYANTHI PROGRAMME

​

On 2nd October 2018, Gandhi Jayanthi was celebrated. Prof. V. S. Dayananda Kumar, Principal, Sri Sai Pre-University College for Women was the Chief Guest. Floral offerings were made to the portrait of Mahatma Gandhi. Later sweets were distributed to the students.

SRI Y RAMACHANDRA ENDOWMENT LECTURE AND DISTRIBUTION OF SCHOLARSHIPS PROGRAMME

On 5th October 2018, Sri Y Ramachandra Endowment Lecture And Distribution of Scholarships Programme was organized. Honorable chief guest of the programme was Mr.Justice N. Kumar, Former High Court Judge. The programme was presided by Sri. R. Ananda Chairman, Sri Sai Group of Educational Institutions

STUDENTS COUNSELLING PROGRAMME

On 6th October 2018, students counselling programme was organized. The chief guest was Dr. K.P. Putharaya, a famous orator, addressed the gathering on the occasion.

​

On 27th October 2018, a Faculty orientation programme for the college teachers was organized. The resource person of the programme was Dr.V. Prabhudev, Senior Academician, and Campus Director, Presidency College, Bengaluru. He delivered a lecture on the topic “Towards becoming a great Teacher”.

TRAFFIC AWARENESS PROGRAMME

​

On 26th October 2018, Traffic Awareness Programme was held in our institution by the Rajajinagar police department. Sri. Vidyadhar D Baikerikai, Police Inspector, Rajajinagar Police Station, Bangalore was the chief guest and he spoke about the traffic rules & regulations that could be taken to avoid accidents

KANNADA RAJYOTHSAVA

​

On 30th November 2018, Kannada Rajyotsava programme was celebrated. Sri. Jaganmohan Prahalad. Writer, National Award winner Bengaluru was the Chief Guest. He gave a speech about the “Importance of Kannada Language”. Cultural Programmes were also performed by the students.

ORIENTATION PROGRAMME

On 26thDecember 2018, Orientation programme for the students on the topic “Study Tips for Academic Performance” was organized. The chief guest, Dr Satayanarayana Babu. Addressed the gathering on the occasion.

REPUBLIC DAY

​

On 26th January, 2019 Republic Day was celebrated. Sri.  A. Sai Prasad, Director of Studies, unfurled the National Flag and spoke about the Importance of celebrating the day. At the end sweets were distributed to the gathering.

NSS CAMP AT SRI SATHYA SAI HOSPITAL

​

During 3rdFebruary 2019 to 10th February 2019, an NSS Camp was conducted for our NSS students at Sri SathyaSai Hospital, Whitefield, Bengaluru, 29 of our students attended the camp and performed paramedical duties and social service activities in the Hospital.
